I’m Ma. Luisa Requino-Jasa, I am currently working as a Head of Help Desk Technical Team in one of the colleges in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. This site contains my personal outlook in life. The thoughts that will be posted are all from my personal experience in life…in love…in friends…and in my family.
About Myself
Profession:
Let me give you some details about myself. I am an academician by profession. I earned my bachelor degree in Computer Science through scholarship provided by School Youth Development Program under Quezon City Government in Philippines. I finished my Masters in Business Administration in 2005 but unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the graduation rights due to my condition. I was pregnant with my youngest daughter at that time and I have some medical condition that I have to stay at home for a while.
After I graduated my college degree in 1996, I was immediately hired as Computer Instructor. I started teaching IT subjects when I was 20 years old and since then my career went on. I taught IT and Business subjects in different colleges and universities in the Philippines. May I humbly say that at the age of 31, I became a College Dean in one of the reputable college in Manila, Philippines before I decided to work in the Sultanate in 2007. I’m also a mother of two lovely girls whom I treasure the most. I decided to create a website because I love to write and I express my emotions and thoughts through writing.
Passion:
Photography: My interest in photography started in 2009, that time I joined a photography club and I was using a Sony-DSLR which I borrowed from one of my colleagues. I started to compete in a photo contest and luckily I won. Then I bought my own DSLR and started to explore my passion in photography. I am still a novice in this field but I am willing to learn to advance my knowledge and skills.
Dancing: I started dancing in 2011, at first I really don’t know my objective in joining the dance class. During my first day, I was afraid and a bit shy. I have this fear of rejection, I thought people will not like me but I was wrong. The moment I stepped inside the class everybody gave me a nice and friendly smile. They made me feel that I belong to the group. Dancing leads me to happiness and it changed my perspective in life.
Writing: I can say that I am a frustrated writer. When I was in high school I wanted to become a journalist. In fact, I won in News Writing Contest - Division Level way back in 1991 when I was in my fourth year high school. I was 8th placer, out of 25 schools in Metro Manila who compete that time. I do write poems, most of my poems were based on my emotions. I can write freely and more expressive whenever I am in my lowest. But I always look for the brighter side.
In this blog, I will share the story of my life not to gain sympathy nor to spread negativity among people but to give some positive insights. I know that life is not fair but it all depends on our perspective. I hope you will enjoy reading and browsing my blog and feel free to comment so I can improve my writings as well as the contents of this blog.
Happy reading!
